Master Plan

IIn the heart of the Kentucky Bluegrass, a 100-year old Thoroughbred Horse farm called Hamburg Place resides. 1800-acres of the farm forms the new community master plan for Hamburg Place.

DesignWorks created a plan that utilizes time tested traditions of community design. In the tradition of great small towns, the new community focuses on a small Village Green near the heart of Hamburg Place. The Village Green serves both single family and multi-family neighborhoods, two churches, a school, an assisted living complex, a library, and a diversity of retail establishments. Designed as a walking community, tree lined sidewalks and streets connect the Village Green to the entire community.

The creek valleys that meander throughout Hamburg Place are preserved as an extensive public park system. Existing hedge rows, fences, trees, and high points within the gently rolling terrain serve as focal points throughout the establishment.
