An Artist's Garden

This lovely garden is a free-flowing, exuberant experience, a stylistic departure from the formal geometric Charleston Garden. This is a garden that urges you to wander - a place of discoveries and changing views to refresh the spirit and serve as artistic inspiration.
In addition to a rich plant palette, the garden features seating areas, an herb garden, nooks for statuary and urns, and a lily pond alive with fish and aquatic plants. Old brick and stone were recycled on site to create a drive and paths which are functional but permeable, loose in feel, and a part of the total garden. A large pomegranate hides the “secret garden” - cool, shady, and green with a custom-designed miniature pool cut from a single piece of bluestone.
