Master Plan for a Mixed-Use

Cambridge Square is a twenty-eight acre mixed use development located off of Park West Boulevard, approximately 10 miles northeast of downtown Charleston. DesignWorks hosted a week long design charrette for the community and the town of Mount Pleasant from which a conceptual master plan was developed.
With extensive local input, Cambridge Square was designed to create a harmonious relationship between both housing and commercial development. As the ‘heart of the community’, Cambridge Square was designed with the intent to create a convenient, pedestrian-friendly environment that welcomed the people of the Park West community, Rivertowne and Dunes West.
DesignWorks was responsible for all public realm areas including streetscapes, parks, paths, signage, lighting, and building locations - all designed to create a welcoming, comfortable sense of place. |
